"I first heard Melissa Zollo speak at the Hilton Hotel in New York City in 2005. Since then, I've taken several teleseminars and learned about The Imaginal Dynamic and the Power of Imagination. I have always thought of myself as a very positive person. Little did I suspect that a routine Colonoscopy would take me on a journey of truth. That dreaded C word was suddenly a possibility, something that just the suggestion of it, had an incredible power over me. My mind raced through various scenarios all leaving me feeling like a victim to a doctor whom I didn't even know, much less trust. "My change in health has truly been miraculous! For most of my life I have been addicted to the idea of poor health. In my case it was chronic bouts with allergies and asthma. Over the past few year I had developed a reaction to wearing contacts: red eyes, a strained blood vessel, and a very strange rash develops above the eye and along the forehead if I wear the contacts for more than a few days. Finally, I decided to get it checked out by an eye doctor. He said that the contact is ill fitted, not allowing my eye to get oxygen, but possibly I had become contact resistant. We tried two other types. At first each seemed to be better than the previous, but then the same condition would return.
So, working with the Present Memory tapes, I started doing a vision of my eye healing and my being able to wear contacts. As I was doing the vision I could actually feel heat generating from that area where the rash forms. I assumed that the vision was so successful that it was healing my rash. After I was done playing the tape and working my vision, I went to the mirror to check. To my horror the rash was much worse! I took a long walk and started to realize that maybe this was what Melissa calls a "bridge of incident". The universe was telling me let go of this wish regarding the contacts before I do serious damage to my eyes! My wish for a successful relationship with the contacts was misguided because the contacts were the source of my problem. The following two days I did a vision asking for eye health, for an end to the eye problem, leaving out my wish to wear the contacts. Literary within two days the rash totally cleared up. This is extraordinary, because in the past the rash would take at least two weeks to dissipate.
